This folksong is based on dialogue between Mata Parvati and Shiva. When Shiva came to marry her, to the kingdom of her father King Kailash then due to Ghostly appearance of Shiva her mother refuses to marry her daughter with Shiva. Shiva considering this as his disrespect starts to go back to his residence at Kailash Mountain but Mata Parvati also followed him and the dialogue between them goes on like this :

Bapuein lad tere o laai
(Goddess Parvati ji is saying to Shiv ji that
Now where are you running Bholenath
My father has engaged me to you )
Ridiya tan Ridiya Dhudu bhla nasda
Nale tan khole Gaura Topdi
(Bholenath is running on upper hills while
Gaura(Parvati ji) is searching him in lower areas of rivers and brooks)

Kachchi O kuwari babul de gharein
Aj bo vyahiyan kajo bhla chod da
(I was well, unmarried in my Father's house
Now why are you leaving me after promising marriage)

(Parvati ji called Bholenath several times
But he didn't listened to her for once )

As she is tired of following him)
